Jamie Betts, LPC-Associate

Life can feel overwhelming when the things that used to work simply aren't enough anymore. Whether you're a parent watching your child struggle with anxiety, or an adult who suddenly finds yourself stretched beyond your ability to cope, you don't have to figure it out alone.

My path to becoming a counselor began long before graduate school. For nearly two decades, I worked alongside families, educators, law enforcement, medical professionals, and multidisciplinary teams responding to some of life's most difficult situations. That experience taught me something important: people are far more resilient than they realize, especially when they have the right support around them.

Today, I work with children, teens, and adults facing anxiety, stress, trauma, grief, life transitions, and emotional overwhelm. I have a special appreciation for helping parents understand and support anxious children while building on the strengths that already exist within the family. I also enjoy working with adults who are accustomed to being the ones who hold everything together until life becomes too heavy to carry on their own.

My approach is practical, compassionate, and genuine. I believe healing happens through connection, self-understanding, and learning how to use the strengths and support systems already present in your life. While our work together may involve difficult conversations, there is also room for hope, laughter, and celebrating progress along the way.

I am especially passionate about supporting helping professionals, including educators, law enforcement officers, first responders, healthcare workers, military personnel, and others who spend so much of their lives caring for those around them.

When I'm not working, you'll likely find me spending time with my family or enjoying the outdoors. Nature has always been a place where I recharge, reflect, and reconnect, and that grounded perspective often finds its way into the work I do with clients.

Life doesn't come with a roadmap, and sometimes even the strongest people need support. If you're ready to take the next step, I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
